With an objective to retain the two main design aesthetics of the building; Edwardian English style and 1920’s Art Deco, the Zehnder Charleston multicolumn radiator was chosen for it appearance, flexibility of sizes and quality of fixings.
Craig Abrahams at ReardonSmith Architects, Europe’s leading architectural practice specialising in hotels and responsible for the design development and implementation on-site explains, “Blending seamlessly with the original style of the building, the timeless elegance and classic profile of the Zehnder Charleston made it the ideal choice for this project. In addition the made to measure sizes gave us complete flexibility in design and the quality of fixings ensured no unsightly brackets, a key factor for the client.”
